In that time he directed site selection studies, global integration efforts, relocation projects, consolidations and other location strategy consulting engagements for clients including those in the automotive, biotechnology, electronics, financial, insurance and real estate, petrochemical, power, and pharmaceutical sectors. Types of facilities located include those for headquarters, manufacturing, back and middle office, shared services, R&D, and distribution.

 These engagements provided him with a keen appreciation for the role of location in the overall corporate business strategy toolkit. Through his work and speaking and writing engagements, Mr. Frederickson has become internationally recognized by economic development agencies as a leading site selector which, in turn, has given him access to ongoing intelligence about regional investment opportunities and corporate investment decisions.
