-  In September 2009 we were updated on current business items of interest by North Carolina's economic development leaders and Commerce Secretary J. Keith Crisco in a meeting and reception in New York City.

-  Texas Governor Rick Perry hosted a Texas Business without Limits Reception in October 2009 at the NASDAQ MarketSite. The event was an opportunity to meet Governor Perry, to hear remarks on current business trends from Matthew Bishop, American Business Editor and New York Bureau Chief for The Economist magazine, and lto earn about opportunities for doing business in Texas.  Governor Perry was accompanied by Texas business executives and community leaders.
